RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES
Alpha Delta Pi is proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) through our international philanthropy effort. A Ronald McDonald House is a "home-away-from-home" for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child. Many families travel far from home and spend weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. The houses are built on the simple idea that a family should have no other concerns besides that of tending to the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night. There are more than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries. Here at our Eta Pi chapter at Virginia Tech, we are lucky enough to have a house less than an hour away in Roanoke, VA. Our sisters are able to see a direct impact when we cook meals for the families and clean the house once a month. We host two philanthropy events each year to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia: Touchdown and Tabs and Diamond Series. We are so thankful to support a charity that means so much to us.
